Are you considering a move to Florida? It is a good idea to check the fine print on all your insurance policies to see what will still be valid after your move and what you may need to change. The main policies to consider will be your homeowners’ policy, auto coverage and health insurance. In Florida, you should be able to find similar products, although some of the minimum requirements for coverage may vary with auto insurance.

While there are many things to think about when you are in the process of an interstate move, letting vital insurance lapse could put you and your family at financial risk. In addition to getting your insurance in order, you will need to look into all those basic things like setting up your utilities, finding a good local doctor and dentist, day care for young children and schools for the older ones.

The best thing to do is make a checklist so that nothing important slips through the cracks. Health insurance in Florida, which can be researched in advance, should be set up before things get too chaotic.
